Getting Started on deviceBridge
deviceBridge is a GigaFox add-on available with a deviceBridge license. To setup deviceBridge, please contact Mobile Labs Support.
deviceBridge for macOS
Download and follow the installation wizards for:
Install deviceBridge
- From the GigaFox user dropdown menu, click Download deviceBridge.
- Open the dcb folder, MacOSX folder, and click on deviceBridge-OSX.zip.
- Run the Mobile Labs deviceBridge Setup Wizard.
- Restart Xcode, iTunes, and any other iOS testing tool.
macOS Permission Requirements for Android Devices
To connect with Android devices via deviceBridge on macOS, you'll need to use a copy of the adb application in the Android SDK. To setup the adb:
- When prompted with the Android SDK Configuration dialog, click Choose.
- On the Finder window, select platform-tools > adb and click Choose.

Install deviceBridge
To install deviceBridge:
- On the GigaFox user menu, click Download deviceBridge to download the installation files.
- For a 32-bit Windows machine, extract deviceBridge-x86.msi.
- For a 64-bit Windows machine, extract deviceBridge-x64.msi
- Run the Mobile Labs deviceBridge Setup Wizard.
Warning: The Android SDK version must match the SDK in deviceBridge tools. Otherwise, devices will not be available with Android Studio. To avoid version issues, set the deviceBridge adb.exe and tools to the same path.
